Aligning ball bearing, also called self aligning bearing,Spherical plain bearing.Joint bearing is a kind of spherical plain bearing, whose sliding contact surface is an inner sphere and an outer sphere, which can rotate and swing at any Angle when moving. It is made of surface phosphating, blasting, inserts, spraying and other special processing methods. Joint bearing has the characteristics of large load capacity, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-aligning, good lubrication and so on.
The structure of the joint bearing is simpler than that of the rolling bearing, which is mainly composed of an inner ring with an outer sphere and an outer ring with an inner sphere. Joint bearings are generally used for swing movement (i.e. angular movement) with low speed. Because the sliding surface is spherical, it can also make inclined movement (i.e. aligning movement) within a certain Angle range. When the concentricity between the supporting shaft and the shaft shell hole is large, it can still work normally.
Characteristic
Joint bearings can bear large loads. According to its different types and structures, it can bear radial load, axial load or radial and axial load simultaneously. Because the outer sphere of the inner ring is inlaid with composite material, the bearing can be self-lubricating in operation. Generally used for low speed swing movement, and low speed rotation, can also be in a certain range of Angle tilt movement, when the bearing shaft and shaft shell hole concentricity is large, it can still work normally. Self-lubricating joint bearings are used in water conservancy, professional machinery and other industries.
Application
Joint bearings are widely used in engineering hydraulic cylinders, forging machine tools, construction machinery, automation equipment, automotive shock absorbers, hydraulic machinery and other industries. A joint bearing is a spherical plain bearing. The basic type is composed of an inner and outer ring with a spherical sliding spherical contact surface. Depending on its structure and type, it can bear radial load, axial load, or radial and axial load at the same time.
Because the spherical sliding contact area of the knuckle-bearing is large, the inclination Angle is large, but also because most of the knuckle-bearing adopts special processing methods, such as surface phosphating, galvanized, chrome plating or external sliding surface lining, inserts, spraying, etc., so it has greater load capacity and impact resistance. And has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-aligning, good lubrication or self-lubrication without lubricating dirt pollution, even if the installation dislocation can work normally. Therefore, joint bearings are widely used in swing motion, tilt motion and rotation motion with low speed.

Joint bearings are mainly composed of an outer ring and an inner ring. The inner sphere of the outer ring and the outer sphere of the inner ring form the rolling friction pair.
Operating temperature
The allowable working temperature of knuckle bearings is mainly determined by the matching materials between the sliding surfaces of bearings, especially the sliding surfaces of plastic materials of self-lubricating knuckle bearings, whose bearing capacity will decline at high temperature. If the sliding surface material of a lubricated joint bearing is steel/steel, the allowable operating temperature depends on the allowable operating temperature of the lubricant. But for all lubricating and self-lubricating joint bearings, they can be used in the temperature range of -30℃ ~ +80℃, and maintain the correct bearing capacity.
Dip Angle
The dip Angle of the joint bearing is much larger than that of the general adjustable rolling bearing, which is suitable for use in the supporting parts with low concentricity requirements. The dip Angle of the joint bearing varies with the bearing structure size, type, sealing device and form of support. The dip Angle range of the general centripetal joint bearing is 3° ~ 15°, and the dip Angle range of the angular contact joint bearing is 2° ~ 3°. The dip Angle range of thrust joint bearing is 6° ~ 9°.
cooperate
In any case, the fit selected for the joint bearing shall not cause uneven deformation of the ring, and the choice of its fit nature and grade must be determined according to the bearing type, support form and load size and other working conditions.
